  • Serve as a brand ambassador for Baan Lao, demonstrating honesty, integrity and a commitment to exceptional customer service
  • Lead by example as you help coach and mentor the service team
  • Meeting and exceeding exceptional standards for service at all times

Supervisory Duties:

  • Lead the team by exhibiting exemplary customer service
  • Guide the staff and guest experience with warmth, empathy and professionalism
  • Guide communication with the front of house team
  • Ensure staff adherence to the highest health, safety, and customer service standards
  • Check voicemails each business day and respond to inquiries within 24 hours
  • Inspect the guest spaces daily for any marks on the walls, repairs, issues with tables, chairs, etc that need to be addressed
  • Understand and adhere to Baan Lao’s reservation guidelines
  • Manage reservations utilizing the Tock platform, including:
    • Booking
    • Rescheduling
    • Assisting guests in completing online reservations
    • Highlighting food restrictions in advance for the kitchen team
    • Providing notes on each reservation, where needed
  • Prepare and submit detailed management reports including a breakdown on weekly sales
  • Prepare and submit a weekly report with observations and insight into sales variations, and recommendations to improve
  • Submit all reports, recommendations, inventory and ordering updates to gm@baanlao.ca
  • Comply with all federal, provincial and municipal laws

Conduct weekly inventory and report inventory levels to Manager

  • Wine inventory

  • Bar inventory
  • Inventory of all printed menus
